Official GP Dig Day- Ellsworth 2/24/13
GP Dig Day- Ellsworth
Support:
Ellsworth- Demos and trailer support on hand. All dig participants are eligible for HALF PRICE on a new Momentum as well!
Loaded- Raffle and GP discounts.
SDMBA- Providing tools and support for the FR cause.
ZOIC- Raffle support.
Make plans to be on hand Feb 24th. Please be sure to sign the waiver. I'll have a PDF version on here soon for you to print, sign, and bring. Forms will be on site as well. Address is 16225 Highland Trails Drive, Ramona, CA 92065. Please carpool if you can! Jason Cardillo(evenflow) has been the mastermind behind this killer trail. The number of hours put in by him alone is staggering. Come down and show your support by helping create an amazing trail in SoCal!
As always, if you can't make it, buy lunch for a sweaty pirate! Paypal $5 to dh43dh@gmail.com. I'll keep a list of all supporters below as a thank you! The more that comes in, the better lunch will be for the crew. SoCal DH riders give back by supporting trail building/maintenance. XC trails are cool. But GP dig days give us a chance to show love to DH/DJ/FR trails.
9am- Official meet and greet before hitting the trail. There will be trail bosses for each area to help guide the work.
1pm- Lunch! Come on down to the Ellsworth and SDMBA trailers for some grub. We'll do the raffle while everyone is eating.
2pm- Let's ride! Grab an Ellsworth demo or your own steed and enjoy the amazing Ellsworth trail!
ALSO>>Josh Bender and James Visser will be on hand to thank pirates for digging. They will be giving some tips, and showing off skills when it's ride time!
FYI-
-No alcohol please.
-Bring your favorite trail tools. You never know what will be needed.
-The waiver requires a copy of your health ins card to ride.
-Please enter through the lower gate on Dig Day. Not the upper gate near the house.

Official GP Dig Day- Ellsworth 2/24/13 :: Comments
How is it going? I work on the trail day this Sunday my name is David I was wearing the orange TLD jersey I would like to help keep working on the trail my pinkbike name is obsession88. SDMBA said to post on the public forum and Jason would get back to me. Hope to be hearing back from you guys.
David was also digging with me on the section of trail I was leading. He did plenty of shovel work on Sunday, and earned his patch. He followed that up with some riding.
By the way David, if you look in the "Ellsworth Dig Day Part II" thread, Jason posted his cell phone number there.
Register if you haven't already David. You've earned your spot here.
So is SDMBA Cool with GP'ers atm? I mean at this point they would know we do 90% pirated trails.
SDMBA, as a whole, has ever not been cool with GP. I'm the Vice President, a Board Member, and the Events Committee Chair. Do you think I'd still be a part of it, if I honestly thought "they" weren't cool with GP?
The common misconception is that SDMBA exists to be "trail police." They're not, though they do to try and educate people as to why unauthorized trail building/riding isn't beneficial (at least in some areas where established trails already exist and unauthorized trail building jeopardizes bike access) or they are the messengers for information that land managers want to get out to the community. But in general, SDMBA exists to advocate for bike access on new and existing trails and act as a liaison between the riding community and the land managers, whether they're XC, AM, DH, FR, Bike Park trails.
