Troy Lee BP 7850-HW SS Shirt
I just picked up the Troy Lee BP 7850 SS Shirt at a local moto shop, and could not be more impressed with the armor. For those of you who find full on pressure suits to bulky and movement limiting, this armor may be perfect for you. I myself hate bulky armor that is hot, restricting and NOT LEATT COMPATIBLE
The Troy Lee armor was purchased for $100 at south bay motor sports in Chula Vista after countless attempts to find armor that was light, breathable, and maneuverable. So far the armor has been nothing short of spectacular. The armor is very light weight and very comfortable, I honestly forget that Im wearing it. All the shock doctor foam is removable from the armor so customizing the fit and feel is easy. The armor is so low profile that it is hardly even noticeable (Pics will be uploaded later). Fitting your leatt couldnt be easier; the armor clearly states "Neck Brace Integration" near areas that can be removed to fit your leatt. The armor has multiple shock doctor foam pads placed along the shirt and seem to add plenty of impact protection. (havnt taken a spill yet with it on)
The only downside to this armor is the lack of hard plastic in places such as the spine. This can be easily fixed with some ABS plastic though. My only other complaint is taking the armor off, it is almost impossible to take if off after a ride as your sweat makes it stick to your body.

Good idea after that spill last weekend. Is the spine protection just foam padding?

Spine is just foam, but I got ABS plastic inserts for it. Wasnt too hot at Teds today and it vents pretty well so heat wont be a huge factor.

Re: Troy Lee BP 7850-HW SS Shirt
I've used this armor for over 6months now... great review...
I have crashed with the armor over my shirt and it survived... 3wks ago, I ate it hard on MTT, I wasn't wearing the armor but I had my TLD with shock doctor Knee/Shin and elbow/forearm pads... I could say it saved my ass from my 14mph tumble down Banzai! no broken bones... I wish I had under short protector tho... my hip is still numb
