Official GP Dig Day- Ellsworth 2/24/13
GP Dig Day- Ellsworth
Support:
Ellsworth- Demos and trailer support on hand. All dig participants are eligible for HALF PRICE on a new Momentum as well!
Loaded- Raffle and GP discounts.
SDMBA- Providing tools and support for the FR cause.
ZOIC- Raffle support.
Make plans to be on hand Feb 24th. Please be sure to sign the waiver. I'll have a PDF version on here soon for you to print, sign, and bring. Forms will be on site as well. Address is 16225 Highland Trails Drive, Ramona, CA 92065. Please carpool if you can! Jason Cardillo(evenflow) has been the mastermind behind this killer trail. The number of hours put in by him alone is staggering. Come down and show your support by helping create an amazing trail in SoCal!
As always, if you can't make it, buy lunch for a sweaty pirate! Paypal $5 to dh43dh@gmail.com. I'll keep a list of all supporters below as a thank you! The more that comes in, the better lunch will be for the crew. SoCal DH riders give back by supporting trail building/maintenance. XC trails are cool. But GP dig days give us a chance to show love to DH/DJ/FR trails.
9am- Official meet and greet before hitting the trail. There will be trail bosses for each area to help guide the work.
1pm- Lunch! Come on down to the Ellsworth and SDMBA trailers for some grub. We'll do the raffle while everyone is eating.
2pm- Let's ride! Grab an Ellsworth demo or your own steed and enjoy the amazing Ellsworth trail!
ALSO>>Josh Bender and James Visser will be on hand to thank pirates for digging. They will be giving some tips, and showing off skills when it's ride time!
FYI-
-No alcohol please.
-Bring your favorite trail tools. You never know what will be needed.
-The waiver requires a copy of your health ins card to ride.
-Please enter through the lower gate on Dig Day. Not the upper gate near the house.

Official GP Dig Day- Ellsworth 2/24/13 :: Comments
A couple more good ideas ;
1. If you have any small folding tables or beach chairs please bring them. We are going to circle the wagons and create a tailgate area for lunch but the more tables and chairs the better.
2. If you want to try out a demo bike please remember to byo pedals.

What:
Ellsworth Dig Day
Where:
Ellsworth Handcrafted Bicycles
16225 Highland Trails Dr, Ramona, CA
If you've been here before, but not recently, please note that the entrance is NOT the old entrance. The entrance is off of Highland Trails Drive, just off of Highland Valley Road. There is a gate to the right immediately after you turn onto Highland Trails Drive from Highland Valley Road. There will be a Gravity Pirates banner and an arrow sign to help guide you.
If you still don't know how to copy and paste the address into Google Maps and follow the instructions above, here is a map link:
http://goo.gl/maps/G2ocj
Parking:
There is limited parking, so please carpool if you can!
There are 3 areas to park:
Lower lot will be designated for vehicles without 4WD or AWD
Middle and top lot will be designated for vehicles that can make it up the graded, but not paved, steep driveway.
There will be parking guides available to direct you where to park.
Check-in:
-Check in at the SDMBA Booth, which will be located at the middle lot (this goes for GP peeps too). This is also where the lunch, raffle, and demo will be. Please check in BEFORE 9:00am.
-You will be asked to sign a waiver (this is a new waiver, so if you've signed one previously, you will still need to sign a new waiver).
-You MUST provide proof of health insurance to DIG or RIDE! If you do not provide proof of insurance, you will NOT get a wristband and will not be able to dig or ride.
-Once you've signed a waiver and provided proof of insurance, you will get a wristband. You will not be able to go to the top lot without a wristband!
-Choose your trailboss (they will be nearby) and once your trailboss has enough volunteers, your group will head out to work on a designated section of trail.
Timeline:
9AM - Official meet and greet before hitting the trail. There will be trail bosses for each area to help guide the work.
1PM - Lunch! Come on down to the Ellsworth, Loaded, and SDMBA trailers for some grub. We'll do the raffle while everyone is eating.
2PM - Let's ride! Grab an Ellsworth demo or your own steed and enjoy the amazing Ellsworth trail!
What to bring:
-PROOF OF HEALTH INSURANCE
-Water
-Work gloves (You may be working with a lot of ROCK, so gloves that are more durable than bike gloves are recommended)
-Your favorite trail tools (shovel, rock bar, picks, spades, sledgehammer, Mcleod, clippers, etc.) and be sure to mark them so you know which one is yours
-Walkie Talkies, if you have them
-Your bike (if you plan to ride)
Do NOT:
-Do not bring alcohol.
-Do not forget your health insurance card
-Do not enter at the top gate, enter at the lower gate right off of Highland Trails Dr from Highland Valley Road.
-Do not be late!
Organized by:
Gravity Pirates – SoCal’s largest group of DH/FR riders who want to give back to the DH/FR community.

P.S. If you can’t make it, you can still show your support by buying lunch for the trail workers! Paypal $5.00 to dh43dh@gmail.com (and include a note that says it’s for “Ellsworth Trailworker Lunch”). Tell your friends to donate so you can have lunch!! :)
