Official GP Dig Day- Ellsworth 2/24/13
GP Dig Day- Ellsworth
Support:
Ellsworth- Demos and trailer support on hand. All dig participants are eligible for HALF PRICE on a new Momentum as well!
Loaded- Raffle and GP discounts.
SDMBA- Providing tools and support for the FR cause.
ZOIC- Raffle support.
Make plans to be on hand Feb 24th. Please be sure to sign the waiver. I'll have a PDF version on here soon for you to print, sign, and bring. Forms will be on site as well. Address is 16225 Highland Trails Drive, Ramona, CA 92065. Please carpool if you can! Jason Cardillo(evenflow) has been the mastermind behind this killer trail. The number of hours put in by him alone is staggering. Come down and show your support by helping create an amazing trail in SoCal!
As always, if you can't make it, buy lunch for a sweaty pirate! Paypal $5 to dh43dh@gmail.com. I'll keep a list of all supporters below as a thank you! The more that comes in, the better lunch will be for the crew. SoCal DH riders give back by supporting trail building/maintenance. XC trails are cool. But GP dig days give us a chance to show love to DH/DJ/FR trails.
9am- Official meet and greet before hitting the trail. There will be trail bosses for each area to help guide the work.
1pm- Lunch! Come on down to the Ellsworth and SDMBA trailers for some grub. We'll do the raffle while everyone is eating.
2pm- Let's ride! Grab an Ellsworth demo or your own steed and enjoy the amazing Ellsworth trail!
ALSO>>Josh Bender and James Visser will be on hand to thank pirates for digging. They will be giving some tips, and showing off skills when it's ride time!
FYI-
-No alcohol please.
-Bring your favorite trail tools. You never know what will be needed.
-The waiver requires a copy of your health ins card to ride.
-Please enter through the lower gate on Dig Day. Not the upper gate near the house.

And I need trail bosses who can run a crew. If that sounds like something you can handle, gimme a shout.

I can help out being a trail boss. Been out there digging enough to have an idea of what Jason's looking for
I know we already spoke about it, but for the sake of others reading this thread, I'm down to be a trail boss. If you've never met me before, I'll be the guy who doesn't know anything, and doesn't own a bike. I just dig to be around sweaty, dirty men.
Kali has come on board providing product for the raffle as well. Man....Kali and Loaded have been HUGE GP supporters. They have my business!
Calling all pirates....time to get this done! Its not just the dh world watching anymore. Events like this help us shop for sponsors for YOU! Lets show um how we do....dig hard....ride hard!
Share on your fb wall if you got one...bring some friends...show of force!

In case some of you haven't been there and don't know how to use Google Maps to punch in the address to get directions or follow instructions on how to take the first driveway or see the GP banner with directional arrow.

By the way, pay attention to that note about bringing gloves. There are 3 or 4 sections of trail where moving rocks is the primary job, and without gloves you're only going to last about 20 minutes. Then you'll be standing around for 3 hours and 40 minutes, wishing you had stopped at Home Depot on the way and bought some $4 gloves. I have one extra pair to loan out.
Hey kids - I'm comin from uptown SD area - I have room for 3-4 more with a pickup (room for 2 bikes on a hitch rack and whatever int he bed - it's got a tonneau cover though) - any takers?
Here is a write-up I did for those that RSVP'd with me through SDMBA. Figured you guys should know this stuff already, but just in case:
