Shooting for a group dig March 15th!  Come on out and lend a hand to the park being built in your name.  Bring your bike and do some riding.  Tools are on site.  Hang out with a group of friends and work on a section.    

Sat the 15th is "the day."  But some of us like to stay the night and have some fun Sunday morning too.  Feel free to join in any of the above.  Grill and main building is free for you to use.  Bring up some grub and a blow up bed.  We'll crank up the big fireplace at night and tell campfire stories.   Let's get the fun going at GP Park mang!!!

When:
March 15th. 9am- 5pm. Some guys will camp out in the main building and ride/dig on Sun as well. You are welcome to it!

Where:
Gravity Pirate Park at Mt Waterman. Copy and paste 34.347472, -117.928127 into Google Maps. Let me know if you would like to jump in a carpool to save on gas. Just email me (dh43dh@gmail.com) with your location, and I’ll try to help you connect with others.

What:
Dig/Ride to help build Gravity Pirate Park. Park at the bottom of the lift and walk up. Or drive up the dirt access road ¼ mi SE of the lift. We will leave the gate “faux locked” so you can drive up.

Bring:
Tools are on site. If you have a good tool you like at home, please do bring it! You’ll want a camelbak with water and snacks. It’s easier to take a lunch break on the trail than walk all the way back up just to eat. A hat/sunscreen is always a good idea. Those straw hats you see landscapers wearing may look funny…but are ideal for trail working! Hiking shoes, and other hiking capable clothing are a big plus. Gloves are a must! I don’t recommend bike riding gloves unless you have some throw aways. Bring some awesome food to throw on the grill for after trail work! Reward yourself with some carne asada, veggie cabob, etc. The grill will be at your disposal from 4pm til whenever.

Camping?:
If staying the night, bring a sleeping bag, blow up bed, and pillow. And of course some breakfast items. Coffee addict? Bring it! You are all welcome to stay over and enjoy Sunday! Maybe finish that spot you didn’t quite get done on Sat. Maybe take a couple rides down to check the trail progress if you brought a bike. Just be sure you set up a shuttle with someone if you’re going to ride. That’s a heck of a push back up otherwise! The mornings can be chilly. So be sure to have a jacket or other cold weather clothes for morning.

Can’t, but want to contribute?:
If you can’t make it, but want to thank all the diggers for their hard work, please contribute. I take in any contributions and find a way to spend it on the diggers. Food, beer, or something that I know will make them happy. Alternatively, I’ve seen things sent up to hand out to diggers such as energy drinks, etc. And I will post up a list of those who contributed in a thread on GP so diggers always know who has their backs.

Other important info:
There are no stores nearby…what you bring is what you will have! Cell phone reception is almost non-existent. Do NOT rely on your phone to find the location, or try to call us. Bring a paper map, and be self reliant. Look things up on Google maps ahead of time and memorize. Remember life before cell phones? Better yet, carpool up with a pirate who knows the park!
