My be going to colorado soon and want to ride. few questions
What park do you recommend?
Anyone travel/fly with bike? did you use a bike travel bag?
how much do they rip you off for the oversized bag?
any tip or other helpful info would be much appreciated

i've been to sol vista/granby. winterpark/trestles. keystone. and one other place i can't remember. each has their own thing.

of all the places i've been to ride resort i like winterpark by far the best.

i have always driven, never flown so can't help there at all.

Winterepark/trestles is what im leaning towards. I cant do that drive, i wouldnt feel like riding after that drive. I'll fly

oh if you can, Frisco Bike park is just a fun place to play. kinda like a dirt skate park for mnt bikes with lots of progression.

for all inclusive resort stuff, i'd choose WP. i've stayed at the lodge and just across the street and in denver. it's awesome to stay close except for the fewer food choices.

be prepared for late afternoon rain everyday as well.

and though rare, i've also seen riders get altitude sickness as well at that height.

+1 im from Colorado and second Frisco bike bark, all the above is correct, if i were you drive there. Stop in Utah and ride Flying Monkey and so much more off the Mesa.
Many super places to ride besides a bike park. Rainbow Trail out of Salida along the Sangres, Captain Jacks in the Springs, even Pueblo at the south end of Pueblo Motorsports park. Still too many places to list.

ok I have a place to stay for a few days in thornton co. about 80 miles from trestles so i plan one day there the second day of riding is undecided. is frisco close or what park should i hit next thats not to far.. i could look up but id rather hear for some of you guys that have been. thanks

Oversize baggage fees will vary from airline to airline. Alaska Air will only charge for either oversize OR overweight, but not both, resulting in a $75.00 charge. Delta Air will charge for both resulting in a $200.00 charge if your oversize bag is over 50lbs. You'll have to call and check, or just get stuck with it at the check-in counter.
