Sat dig/ride Ellsworth - Page 2 Empty Sat dig/ride Ellsworth

Sat Ellsworth will have some heavy equipment out to finish the new line. Gonna support and dig from 9 til lunch. Then ride the rest of the day.

Bring a shovel/pick if u got one.
Bring a lunch for SURE!
If you have baby wipes and a change of shirt, you'll actually feel like riding after lunch.

Hey man, I'm totally down to help get that trail into shape.

As for clinics, I think this place is perfect. I hate jumping but by the end of the day I was doing everything there. The jumps are so perfect it really let me focus on manipulating the bike in the air instead of wondering if I'm going to case, or overshoot. Love that place

Keep me in mind if you need a shovel out there

evenflow wrote:Just wanted to say a huge thank you to everyone that came out to help Saturday ! Sorry I couldn't hang out and take photos for everyone again...had to run that errand for a second boom lift :/ Glad everyone is starting to see the potential of the full line ! I really think we could complete the entire line this winter if we continue to receive such great support !...did I mention that we have a Rhino for shuttles when the trail is complete ?

Going forward we will always limit the dig time to a half day so everyone will still have enough wind left in their sails to ride...AND...I would really like to build a couple of small "gap bridges" that we can use at the top of the line to help newer riders ( and that pesky mini- Cap'n ) acclimate to jumping gaps. I think we have a great facility for more ride clinics but we definitely need to provide a couple of jumps that new deckhands will feel safe walking the plank on. Let me know your thoughts and suggestions ! What about hosting clinics every weekend after digs for those in need ? rider clinics ? video / photo clinics ?

Sometimes its a joke when we say we're glad nobody died. But this time...Arthur made it real. Stoked he didn't get too hurt flipping the 4 story boom.
You were a good host yet again. Plenty of water and direction. Half ride, half dig.....made for a fun full day! Stoked to see this spot progress!

This is a great idea! Especially for people like me to shrink up anytime a gap is involved.

I'm likely for Sun, but can't confirm yet. And I'm very interested in the conclusion of the case of boom boom.

i've built a 9ft gap bridge for the first gap jump for balboa. it works well. many non jumpers have hit that gap now, even Cap'n's youngest flys over it now.

I've heard good things about that gap bridge at balboa.

Who all is going Sunday then? Another dig and ride like last time? I left my rake and shovel there, so I have a reason to go :)

I can carpool and drive there, and got the 4x4 to get to the upper parking lot

Good...then pick me up on your way! Laughing My poor 1 wheel drive truck no likey.

I think the removable table thing is a great move for this trail. It turns a good learning trail into a great learning trail. Always focus on the up and comers, and the future is bright.
