New To San Diego

New To San Diego
Hey I am pretty new to San Diego, was told to come here to find some sick DH trails and help build some. I can help dig on weekends just let me know. Moved from reno and the tahoe area, the trails I have ridden so far here hasn't done it for me. Hoping to find the better trails in San Diego. Also down to head to mammoth, my bike isn't under 38lbs to ride big bear

Plan on joining in on our Mammoth trip on the 23rd-24th. You'll meet a bunch o pirates.
Some SoCal builders prefer their trails to be discovered "organically", or even not at all. Others are more than happy to share with GP members when they build something...just not the general public. It's more of a personality thing in the end. Although fear of land managers destroying your trail is NOT an irrational fear in SoCal. So even on GP you won't see EVERY trail. If the builder(s) isn't wanting to share, you will only see pics without directions. I don't have to delete or moderate that kinda stuff...guys on GP are just naturally respectful since many are builders themselves. But get out and and meet members face to face. If you're not an asshole, you'll probably be shown the goods. If you ARE an asshole, you may just become a trail feature. But guys are pretty good about naming it after you.

I'd be down for that, can help in the truck/carpool situation if needed too, just let me know.

Pick a ridge line recognize if there is a property between
The peak and the bottom, if there is no fence pick a line and well see you at the bottom.
I know many trails unnamed and named but still
Gleaning to find more.
My schedule will only be conducive to yours in the am on Saturdaze.

Here is a photo, 2010 Rocky Mountain Flatline almost finished building just need to get a new chain ring. Upgraded to a Fox 40 and RC4 rear shock. Also ride a commencal super 4.1 for an xc bike.
Heard about this site from another forum member on SDMBA telling me to check here.
