It wasn't, that course blew IMO. Zero flow, zero tech. The top
turns belonged on a pump track and the mid turns were just well... It just wasn't a DH track, people were running mid travel bikes no problem. I dunno, wasn't pumped on this track. Fun weekend none the less, I'm
still riding my bike, and that's what counts.

Tom wet the berms up top and that made them rideable, the turns in the middle weren't fun at all.

Speaking of Tom,after wetting down the S turns up top he was about to fix the middle berms earlier today then Donny bitched at him and told him to GTFO the hill! Evil or Very Mad

Better question is "why does Tom continue to take the abuse?" It's nothing new. People will keep coming to fontana because other people come to fontana. The catch 22 works both ways. Other socal races have better trails, better run, better prizes....but they struggle to gain traction. Racers only get excited about going to races with lots of other racers. Regardless of the track or promoter. Look at our skidx race. MUCH better course than anything u could find at Fontucky. Shuttle provided...half the cost...prizes to all on podium...and not neatly as attended as the worst fontana race. Predictable humans. Laughing

The berms up top were nice. Almost bar dragged one today in practice. The mid section what just shit. Really wish donny would have better courses. I cant believe that the Super D yesterday was more of a DH track than the DH today was... WTF!

Just look at the XC races. Last race had 0 pros (at least according to the results page). That's because there are other XC races around, and they don't feel the need to go to Fontana. I haven't been able to make it to the last couple races, but I don't feel like I have missed anything. I definitely feel like I missed out on the P-Mtn race. Give it some time Steve.
