Nah....I like it here. Looks like the start of a ride report to me.

Re: Southridge 19th Annual Challenge
Maybe RR can be ride and/or race reports. Since you started this thread I'll toss one up here. If you do not want to read the novel here are the important points;
Took second place. Came home to fresh baked goodies. Got my GPR jersey.
Firts off, coming home to fresh baked gingerbread cookies and pumpkin pie is always a plus. The fam must have known it was a good race
Practice runs on Saturday were fairly straight forward and the course was so tame it was easy to remember so I headed out early.
Today I arrived early, screwed around, met a few pirates, got my jersey from Hinky then Hink and I headed up the hill for one practice run before race time. Practice run felt smooth, slow but smooth which is a good sign to start with. Got to the bottom, grab some grub, use the head and back up I went.
Not a big turn out so things were moving along quickly. I had edited a song with 30sec of "space" at the beginning so it would start just as Donnie gave the "one" count. The song was a hair over 3min and there was no way I was going to let it end before I crossed the line.
"ONE" anf off I went, felt a bit squirmish over the wood bars but once I made the turn and dropped it felt as though everything was clicking in unison. I scrubbed a bit more speed off coming into the rock jump (the one at the beginning of E's vid above) and ended up rolling it so I had to grab a few pedal strokes then off to the small drop into the "S" turns. Target fixated and ALMOST ran off the course but was able to bring the rear around and keep moving. Hit the run across the hill, added a few more pedal strokes and into the S turns through the ravine and the G-outs. Felt pretty fast and smooth and then on the the road, not much to say here, sat and peddled .
My legs were still shot when I hit the lower rock section, flowed through it alright, could have been smoother and then TRIED with all my might to sprint the wall. Did not happen.
Crossed the line in a slow second place. Damn D. Oriee, while I was doing rehab he was riding and loosing a shit load of weight making that loooong ass pedal a bit easier.
Well, that's my story and I am sticking to it.

Re: Southridge 19th Annual Challenge
Hilight of the weekend for me was the jerseys, they're badass!
Met up with bullcrew and some other pirates, got my jersey and went up to do a few runs. The course started out really wet muddy and cold in the morning but got gradually better as the day went on. only got two runs in before they stopped practice. Me an travis had to ride back down a side trail to get my number plate before the race started! Got up there just in time to move to the front of the line,hehe. Felt good on course smooth and fast. Then towards the botttom of the top half I came out of a right turn too far to the outside and washed out in some soft shit.Jumped up and pedaled my ass off through the flat trying to make up some time. It wasnt enought though and i finished thirteenth My quads felt like jello after the finish line. Looks like I gotta work on my cardio this winter!

Re: Southridge 19th Annual Challenge
Some links to the photogs that are usually there. They are however watermarked and low res unless you dish some funds out to them. Andy, Erick and Steph were all there but Andy was the only one I saw with the camera out all though there were a shit load of flashes going off on the way down. Maybe I was just having flash backs though
Andy at Bluefire Pictures
Erick at Eric Foltz Photography
I know Mike was not there but Steph was but I saw no camera in her hand Not sure of she shot any photos. Step? Ryan? Ferris?
Well, here is the site anyways as well as Mr Loards;
Shutterwolf
six3events but Mike left us hangin' and didn't even show. I think the rain skurd him.

Re: Southridge 19th Annual Challenge
Andy is the tall blond guy and Erick is the older guy in camo. Erick most times has a boonie on as well, no not boner, boonie. It's a hat.

Re: Southridge 19th Annual Challenge
Yep Eric Foltz was shooting at the good jump, he went straight to his studio last night to get everything loaded, so it should be up anytime.
