I sent my shock (fox dhx coil) out to Drake a few months back to have serviced because it was leaking oil. I ended up going with a full tune, when I finally got my shock back I was very pleased. It took a little bit longer than expected but my shock felt sooo nice now. Unfortunately that didnt last long and after a few rides the shock started to leak again. So I called up Drake and let know what was going on he said no problem ship it back and he will take care of it. When I was on the phone with him he asked that I put a note in with the shock letting him know what happened and with my contact info and he would give me a call as soon as they got it. I shipped it out last Tuesday and he had it by 2pm Wensday. So Thursday afternoon rolls around and I have yet to hear from Drake so I give him a ring, he says yea we got it but wont have a chance to get into it until tomorrow (Friday) and he would get it shipped out so I would have it Saturday via FedEx. Monday comes and still no shock, I get a call from Drake at 6pm saying my shock was done and he would get it shipped out that day (it was 6pm when he called so I knew that wasnt happening). So I expected it to be shipped Tuesday at the latest and it would be at my door step Wensday. Yesterday still no shock so I call Drake again to get a tracking number, no porblem but I will have to call you back in about an hour says Drake. A couple hours go by still no phone call so I shoot him an e-mail asking for my traking number @ around 7pm, he was on the board posting at 7:09pm but never responded to my e-mail. I understand he is a busy guy so I didnt want to bother him but I want my fing shock back. So im sitting here Thursday shockless still waiting to hear from Drake....... The guy does good work (when it works) but he is a flake, no way to run a business IMHO if he is that busy he needs to hire more help! scratch Evil or Very Mad

Thanks for the write up. I've used Push in CO with no issues, CR1 in SB, no issues & Garageworks in Irvine, no issues. What's up Drake? I'll be needing some shock/ fork rebuilds this year. I'd like to keep it local & with our discount if the service is good, but this makes me think twice.

You know I heard a lot of shitty reviews for Drake over on MTBR so I was a little hesitant at first to send my stuff to him but all the guys here on GP swear by him so I thought I would give it a shot. I think what it boils down to with Drake is if you want good service you better be local, if you are shipping your stuff plan on being without a bike for a couple weeks.

HammerredFlat4, that sucks. I would be frustrated too. I am very happy with the fork that ISO rebuilt for me. After that I tried to get my rear shock rebuilt at ISO but there were some communication issues, so I ended up going somewhere else.

Please keep us updated with how it works out.

I empathize with you hammer. From an entrepreneur's perspective, Drake definitely lives up to the " I " in ISO. He is as "Independent" as it gets besides a few loyal associates that help in his work.

Cut him some slack, he tried to make it right by sending you a T-shirt and I have a feeling that shock will be there today!

I cut him more than enough slack, the first time i never mentioned anything on the board or even to anyone in person about how long it took. I just bragged about how great his work was and how awesome my shock felt, but that didnt last long. All I want is a fing tracking number, all it would take is a phone call or simply an e-mail is that really too much to ask? Like I said before that is no way to run a buisness and if he is that busy than he should hire more help.

Oh man now I am really pissed. Just got off the phone with Drake, I had to call him BTW he never returned a phone call or e-mail. Anyways he gave me some BS sob story about having 3 DHX's that were all leaking and he had to keep mine for an extra two days to make sure it didnt start leaking again?!?! Really?! This was after he called me Monday and told me my shock was finished and being shipped, when I asked him what the deal was he said oh I wasnt the one doing the work so I didnt know it wasnt ready. And why he didnt tell me this when I called yesterday I have no clue? And then he has the nerve to tell me that he is doing me a favor covering it under warranty when he fucked it up in the fist place. So my shock STILL has not been shipped, he should have a tracking number in 30 minutes. Bottom line I will NEVER send anything back to Drake, absolutely the WORST customer service I have ever recieved. What a joke of a company! I.S.O. Review 654583

Not here making any excuses there's just needs be some facts stated. Keep in mind I was not the 1 who broke your shock I was the 1 who fixed it. And after it failed months later within warranty. I happily fixed it. Due to a couple forcing issues with the same shocks leaking yes we had to do a verification. I never once told you that shock was done on monday. I'm sorry you misunderstood that we should be finishing it on monday as it being done and ready to go. I'm so sorry you don't like our work even though you just stated that you were bragging about how it works. Unfortunately I don't make orings so occasionally we will have manufacturing tolerance errors. As far as the communication , after business hrs, within 24 to 36 hours I'm sorry that you tried contacting me 12 times. When you first called for a tracking number I'm sorry I was not at the shop available to do so. You called after 5. We are closed. Point being we more than happily took on free warranty work. Never once hesitating to do so. We are by no means perfect.

That's exactly what your doing Drake, making excuses. Your right my shock was leaking when I sent it in for you to FIX that's what you do right? So after you did not fix it properly the first time I had to send it back. Has my shock been on a machine cycling for the last 3 days or do they normally start leaking when they just sit there? You absolutely called me at 6:19 PM Monday and said my shock was DONE and would be shipped out, I did not misunderstand a thing. Why would you call me after business hours to tell me you should be finishing it that day, that doesn't make much sense. I never said I do not like your work, in fact if you can read I said I loved your work and my shock felt great when it worked. What I did say is that you are a FLAKE and cant return phone calls or e-mails. I understand that you do not make the o-rings and shit happens but that's no excuse for being a flake. I called you at 4:18PM yesterday to get a tracking number well before 5PM and you told me sure no problem let me get back to you. Not sorry we are closed I'll have to get back to you or sorry your shock isn't even fucking done yet! I never contacted you 12 times or even 5, I called you once yesterday to get a tracking number and when you didn't get back to me like you said you would I sent you one e-mail. Again you NEVER got back to me so I called you today at 12:30, you didn't pick up so I left a message, again you NEVER got back to me so I called again at 2:30 which is when you finally picked up and gave me the BS story. A total of four times trying to contact you, if you just would have called me back it would have only been once. Get your facts straight. I would hope that you would honor your warranty, that's just what business is about.



BTW coming on here making excuses and trying to make it out like I am the bad guys speaks highly of your character..........

Well Drake finally got back to me with a tracking number, he created a label but it still hasnt been picked up by UPS so it looks like I wont have a shock until next week. If my shock has been finished for three days but he just wanted to make sure it wasnt going to leak why was it still not shipped out today? Nothing makes any sense........Drake must think his customers are idiots......

No for real, Im a devoted customer of ISO tunes and have spent bank there and got prompt service omn a variety of issues.

I can help riders from the LA area that need parts dropped off or or picked up, since I ride in dem darn hills above ISO so much. If you like next time I can go pick up your shock for you or drop it off with pictures to prove the transactions.

Just meet me at Union Station Thursdays thru Mondays.

No charge at least not yet.

Once again here is the facts ups has your stuff. If you like I will happily post the ups receipt from the drop off , can do it right now if you like. Never once said anyone of my customers is an idiot. We do 1000s of repairs @ ISO. Ocasionally were gonna have an issue. You are the first absolute warranty this year s just so you know not too bad for 5 months, sorry im not perfect buddy. I think the easiest thing to do in this transaction is we will just completely refund your money offer no warranty on work and you can deal with fox and 8 dollar/Hr mechanics. I have no interest in participating in the internet verbal tyraid. If you hate our work so much and we think our customers are such idiots why do we not have more verbal tirade all over the internet . 2 pissed off customers all last year 1 this year still killin it. I challenge any 1 of you to better me in this. And all 3 were due to the fact that I wanna make sure it's done right sorry once again verbally on an internet forum I'm sorry. So we gonna continue this ,do you want your money, do you want to watch in the shop what we do, I'm not gonna do this every day this is retarded scratch searched all over the internet for pissed off I iso customers can't find any. scratch

A UPS shipping label has been created. Once the shipment arrives at our facility, the tracking status--including the scheduled delivery date--will be updated.
