Snow Summit Bike Park 2014 opens April 18

I have heard alot of rumors about this coming seasons Snow Summit bike park. There have been mixed reports about how many trails there will be, when they will open and the cost of the season pass. I have heard there will be only 1 new beginner trail from a few people...while others are saying that they have been building 5-7 new trails all winter because there was no snow. It is also rumored that they will open as soon as mid April for DH. About the cost of season passes...I have heard people say everything from $199 to $400....I am assuming it is somewhere in the middle and there will be an early-bird price. I haven't head anything about when the passes will be on sale.
What info do you guys have and what do you think Snow Summit should offer?

As the winter season here at Snow Summit is beginning to wind down, more and more questions are rising about the Bike Park this summer. When are we opening? Will there be additional trails? Will the current trails be the expanded? What can we expect?

At this time we have not set an opening date for the bike park. Originally we had planned on Memorial weekend but we are hoping to be able to open even earlier. I read they are shooting for Easter weekend and also read only 1 beginner trail due to the cost of forrestry permits

As for price if they keep it like last year I'll be good

I have no info, but when I was there last year I was told by the boss man over there that the old fall line trail was shut down with out his authority and that he owned the land and was still in park boundaries. He said it will be back and running. I don't know what that means. He told me this because I asked him about it when after he gave me directions because I told him I couldn't find it. I told him it was all plowed. Being that they opened that skywalk trail or what ever its called right there where fall line was, I don't see why this wouldn't go into effect.

I also heard that fall line was closed by mistake and is soon to be reopened. If it is I dont know how good it will be afer the grading and all the debris is moved.

Snow Summit may be closed but Bear Mountain is still open with 85% of their runs available!

Good I hope they have started building more jumps on westridge like they said they were going to.

Soooooooo when is "Easter weekend" actual dates would be smart to post....sure I could google it....but why not post the actual date. OK OK OK...Easter is April 20th so does that mean the open April 19th???? or Friday the 18th????
