Wanted: New/Used DH Frame Large

Hey Everyone,

I am going to be in the market for a new/used downhill frame. I am currently on a medium M9 thats awesome, but its just too small for me. So basically if anyone knows of any good deals on new/used frames, or can throw some perspective at me I would appreciate it. I would be fine trading my frame for a large as well if that were somehow in the cards.

As of right now I am not too caught up on a any particular brand, I am really open to anything. So let me know what sort of deals you guys know of, or if you got someone who wants a medium!

We do get great deals on KHS,Knolly and my fav Canfield!!

Khs only does a 650b now and I am not wanting to jump on thatjust yet. THe knolly is alright but the deals not worth it. Canfield I don't want to be dealing with the wonky your wheelbase changing constantly. Although I know they make great bikes.

They dont make it anymore only the dh650-300! The large is too small for me anyhow or else i would have picked one up ages ago.

If i can find one at a reasonable price I would love to pick up a DHR. They are great bikes from what I have been told.

I am going to save and get a Jedi!! You just have to get use to it as with any new bike!! And they are just about bullet proof!! I'm sold!!

DHR was on our GP page and was sold for like 1100.00 for a Lrg used?? You missed it!!

Yea not really worried about that. I know a few people that ride them and love then. Intense also is known for having frames break, I have never had an issue with my M9.

Devinci has a life time warranty on all their dh frames..

Seriously doubt I'll break my large frame.. I'm way more breakable then it.. Proven by my history

We can get deals on Transition (talk to Jay Black) There are also shops that support GP that carry many brands too...You should find something you like then try to find the deal.

or you can do what all these other spoiled DH'rs do, buy a frame, ride it around for two months and decide its not the bike for you. sell it for a bit more than you paid for it, and buy another one to test out for another month or two....

that dar plan is the way to do it......

I did that...it didn't work in my favor though... I lost $800 on the frame I rode 8 times on that adventure not to mention a broken leg and lost time riding and I ruined my summer

Could of been way worse JD. Could of broken the frame or more body parts!! Sucks to happen but Ain't Shit to you Buddy!! Me I would of FREAKED OUT!! Lol.

It's nice when you can buy new and sell for your money back. Unfortunately it's more rare than most will admit. I did make a few hundred bucks selling my Jedi a few months after buying. But the breaking down, boxing, dealing with fishing pole offers and haggling....it's kind of like a 2nd job you work for no pay. Maybe I've just done it for too long and I'm worn out. But I think I'd rather keep something for a few years now. Maybe update parts as needed. Chasing bling is taking up too much of my time. Haven't even been on red tube in months.

YES selling a bike or frame is a pain in the ass....that is also why it took me so long to get off my fat ass an sell my TR...fortunately I held out on the BS offers and finally sold the frame local for what I was asking....no shipping and no PayPal.

Marcus...there are many deals that are out there...try some of our bikes and see what you like.

Sound plan. Steve's been trying to get me to calm down and just take my time. I just have a real problem with once i put my mind to doing something I obsess about it till its done. So maybe I just need to take it easy and just ride what i got till i can make an informed decision.
