Another Garage Works Suspension review
I know Marcus recently made a thread about this and i thought about posting it there but decided to just write a new one so it didn't get buried quickly in case anyone interested wanted to read about it proper. So my review....
Took my vivid 4.1 with a cracked eyelet in to see what comes of it. Walked in the joint and only seen a chick working on a shock. I said whats up and asked her a few questions about if i should service my old shock or just buy a new one. She immediately gave me the run around. And even shouted at me because she was becoming frustrated with her work and maybe she wanted to go home. So just asked her when steve would be in and he came walking in.
Steve at first was a bit apprehensive to talk with me. After i asked him a few questions he talked with me proper. He told me to bring my bike in with my shock attached. (I took my shock only to him)
The next day after work i went. He immediately grabbed my bike and messed with it to see and feel how it was. He gave me the price for a service and new eyelet for $180. Then he showed me some new shock options thoroughly explaining the differences between brands and how they work from one another. So i decided to go buy a new one and bring it to him. As he told me he would give me a suspension setup and configuration and lesson for $60.
I bought a new shock from Jkop1 and Line_rider and took it to him. We had set up a time and day it would fit us both. As soon as i went it he asked me some questions about how i ride and what i want to improve and what are some weaknesses i have exc exc...After writing a list of things he began to give me a lesson on how everything works and how everything would feel under different conditions if i messed with the set up. After a complete lesson. He had me sit on my bike several times with my rear wheel on top of a milk crate. Completely changed my setting in a way i never rode before. He increased my sag and lowered my center of gravity and set up and balanced my bike. This took about 2 hours. I rode it around in the street as he made small adjustments and then it was done.
I took my bike out the next day and WOW! Complete different bike. He tuned it to what i wanted to improve on and i can tell you YES i was faster and smoother. I made small adjustments. Like 1 click of each rebound and compression and it was golden. Today he sent me an email with a sheet with how many clicks and percent of pre load sag i should do for what type of riding i will be doing and for my riding style. With notes and everything.
My conclusion to Garage works is this: If you go there stay away from the chick that works there. She is rude, bad temper and poor customer service. As for Steve, he is and awesome dude that knows his shit. Yes i will go again. Yes i recommend going to him and yes i would send my friend there. If you want to learn about suspension or any service give him a visit. He has great customer service as well as thoroughly answering your questions and taking his time to do it.

Re: Another Garage Works Suspension review
There is two chicks there. The tomboy is the one I'm talking about, not steves lady. Also I mentioned to her about GP she cut me off saying she was GP but not anymore sort of saying she's not into what we do. Then became kinda agro. I also mentioned GPto steve this made no difference in service or priority I had to wait for my setup a few days just like everyone else. The next couple days I was there she was chill with me. So yes maybe she was on her rag!!
