My new ride

Yep, picked up one of the new honda dual sports. Yes, it is pretty low on power. Yes it is just over 300 lbs. But man it sure is fun. It totally proves the "it's more fun to ride a slow bike fast, than a fast bike slow." best thing is i can touch my toes and i am comfortable riding it. and the price new is pretty cheap.

first fifteen miles of riding it i hit stairs, curbs, a jump and a small wheelie. cue maniacal laugh.

so if anyone wants to do some simple dual sporting, i'm totally down.

nate harrison grade
viejas grade
corral canyon
otay mountain
maybe even truck them out to ocotillo?

also, if anyone is smarter than me about how to remove things like the charcoal can and such i'd love the mechanical help. wanna ditch the evap can, air induction and snorkel stuff that is all emissions junk.

in a couple months i'll get a pipe, efi controller and filter.

but yeah, anyone wanna do some dual sport riding once the holidays are over??? My new ride Action5_500

no steve. it's the little trail bike. a 250L. think like an old xr250L.
it uses the same engine from the cbr250 street bike.
it's pretty anemic in that it only makes like 22hp. but i'm ok with that. the very best part is it is FI and i can touch the ground. a ktm would be badass but they have 38" seat height! f- that.

this bike in one day has provided tons of smiles! no way am i selling it.

Just picked up your bikes ancestor today! Haha 1998 xr400. Dual sports may be low in power bu theyre funn!

I'm so down for duals port riding any time. I've got a dr 650 back in July and I've only gone on a few trail rides with it.
