The Big Bear *official bike park talk seems like a rumor mill and huge waste of time, but I heard some good news in the lift line yesterday from Jeff and don't know what to believe. Apparently, there has been 'approval' for the construction of a bike park and an agreement has been made with Gravity Logic? I can't find any info to back this up. Any pirates heard the story?

He knows it would be evil to play with my emotions like that just to get me to buy a season pass, right?

i went out to the bar with the dude who will be the head tractor operator, hes already the head snowcat operator. its all happening. dick, pat, clayton and grav logic walked the resort and discussed options this last week. it appears like all systems are go. i had about an hour discussion about this last night with the people who are involved.

If it goes thru that would be awesome. Hopefully get rid of stupid weight restrictions on bikes. Only reason I hate on BB. Back years ago they never had such a thing. Nor does any bike park??? Hopefully we can show them all the riders who would start hitting the place.

yes!!!!!!!! I feel like it was fate that I bought a cabin up there. Bear valley is awesome, great riding, rock climbing(holcomb valley pinnacles) , lake, hiking, jeep trails, dirt bike trails, snowboarding, etc... Its like a sierra mtn in SoCal.

I am assuming this is taking place at Snow Summit not Bear Mountain or some other place in Big Bear. Am I correct? This may be obvious...but I don't see Snow Summit mentioned anywhere in this thread.

They have money. I would expect self loading on treys when the park takes shape in 2014ish. I'm hoping to see them building every day in 2013....it's fun to play optimist. Laughing Take ALL Snow Summit news with a grain of salt of course. But I choose to be hopeful.
