10/03: Noble Canyon

Who: Any of ye barnicle belly sea dogs who want to join.
What: Noble Canyon of course, whore, and Extra Credit.
Where: Trailhead on Fire Dept Rd. From San Diego, take I-8 east to the off ramp for Pine Valley. Exit the highway and turn left. Travel north for .3 miles to Old Highway 80. Turn left onto Old Highway 80 and travel about 1.2 miles to a bridge then to Pine Creek Road. Turn sharply right onto Pine Creek Road and travel 1.6 miles to the trailhead parking on the right. on maps its labled Fire Dept. Rd. Â
When: 0745 at the trailhead. shuttle leaving prolly right around 0800. There is hardly any traffic on the 8. but plan accordingly.
Why: For those who havent done it. another new trail to check out. For those who have done it, its a really fast fun trail.

whore is rightfully named because its in the desert part of Noble Canyon and its a super soft sugar sand and its a long but worth it climb to Extra Credit. its scorching hot with little overhead for shade. ive managed to pedal up it but i have a granny gear. although my last attemt was a failure and i had to HaB up whore. ill say it again though. extra credit is well worth it.

We need a spot near the freeway for us all to meet up. Preferably an early open fast food, or gas station with supplies. It's a convenience thing. 8)

ya. thats fine. Joel and i are car pooling. we'll stop there. the other option is in pine valley. there is a general store in pine valley too but thats only a mile from the trail head.
