Garage Works Suspension
So I had the pleasure of doing business with garage works this week. My cane creek double barrel was sucking air like crazy so I knew it was time for the rebuild. To start off with I called multiple times before deciding to go with them, every time my phone cell was answered promptly and they took the time to talk to me each time.
Garage works has just recently moved to Oceanside from irvine so that we convenient for me. Once I arrived I met with Steve the owner and basically discussed the process and asked what sort of riding I do so he can tune the shock for my riding style. I dropped it off Tuesday night after work and was told it would be ready Friday which I was stoked about.
Fast forward to yesterday (Thursday) i got a call from garage works I was expecting the worst, but it was just the owner letting me know the shock was done early and I could pick it up whenever. When I picked the shock up I could believe how smooth it felt. Steve offered me a beer and I basically spent the next hour picking his brain about suspension.
All in all my experience with garage works has been awesome. They give you a print out of your new tune long side your old one, and will discuss the changed with you he even helped me to dial in my fox 40.The customer service has been top notch and its a really welcoming atmosphere at the shop. From my parking lot test the shock feels amazing but the true test is tomorrow.

So if i went there would they be able to help me out with what correct shock and spring and settings i should run? How much would this cost? And how much was your rebuild?

Re: Garage Works Suspension
I am sure he could.
The rebuild was 140 and that was replacing everything.

Re: Garage Works Suspension
Good to hear customer service is alive and well! I had a good experience with GW, although I've never had any issues with suspension guys at Push, GW, ISO, CR1, GB&B or Kirkland Bicycles.

Re: Garage Works Suspension
Marcus man, thanks for the excellent review! I think I'm gonna have to hit this place up, the 888 is gonna be ready for a rebuild soon.
