Snow ride report - Utah

My group and I lucked out on some fresh pow this past weekend in Utah. Drove into Salt Lake City Thursday warm and dry. Snowed a little bit that night then rode Friday at the Canyons with 6-12'' of light/med weight snow. We were there for sundance weekend and I ran into lil Jon on the slopes. Tried to catch him... ended up spraying him. Whaaaat! No BS.




It came down hard while we raged in Park City, and throughout the whole night. Started out the day at Brighton around 11 with no crowds and snow still coming down. Visibility sucked, but the snow was awesome with over 1.5' and still coming down at 2'' and hour. Fresh lines every single run. We left the resort with snow still pounding and big smiles.



Sunday we pushed to ride Snowbird but wasn't looking very promising with all the road closures and avalanche control so we decided to shred another day at Brighton. Epic Conditions. Over 2 feet of freshies, sun, and clear blue skies! It was my first time at Brighton and I was stoked to see lots of natural knar. Rock drops, tree rides, huge natural step downs. Unfortunately I was there with riders that weren't feeling it so much. I'd like to go back with some shreders and give it a go...

Utah is the shit! It's clean, people are nice, everything's cheaper, and did I mention that the snow is awesome?

Nice! I got some snowbaording in while we were in vegas for the holidays. Lot's o snow and I managed to bust my chin open on a tree. Fun times.

The best days are the avalanche days - they close the canyon road up to Alta and The Bird, but all the locals and peeps already up get to ski/ride after they shoot off the guns ...without the crowds and tourists....yep, the good old days....

Holy shitballs that looks awesome. I can't remember the last time I had conditions that good.
