I've ridden that ridge I believe. That's the area my group called Mud Hills. I know there is some debate over which area is officially Mud Hills....but punch this into Google Maps and you'll see where this is...33.129573,-116.097318

I have ridden that spot once before found it on accident. The trail that leads you in is by pumpkin patch its drops you out sorta by shell reef. There is a ton of good riding like that on the other side of the highway in the bad lands

That place is fun. There's also a supercross style track on that side of the road although its hidden pretty well. I only found it once but the junps were huge.

Re: does anyone recognize this trail
It was due to some televangelist preacher buying tons of property that spanned from split mountain to close to the blue inn with hopes of turning ocotillo into the next palm springs. I think he went belly up, last time i was out there i rode through his land with no issues

Re: does anyone recognize this trail
Possibly.. it could be most anywhere in ocotillo..theres tight canyons like that all over.behind shell reef..way off pole line freeride area..but most likely its slot car. Area on the other side of highway

Re: does anyone recognize this trail
Ya, that's a common area referred to as mudd hills. The two spots are very similar. That's probably why there is so much confusion.
The first time I was taken to the spot on the south side of 78, I was told it was Mud Hills. I fell in love with it! Since then I hit it up every time I went to OW. And I've listened to the debate over the area names several times. As you can see in this one thread, we have 3 different areas being claimed as Mud Hills. I warned you guys that there was debate over where Mud Hills is. The problem is..it's a nick name. Not an official place on a map. So don't bother debating. I've heard guys that have ridden OW all their lives debate it. Don't bother.
Here's a recent mention on ThumperTalk:

Re: does anyone recognize this trail
It's slot "canyon"...and that's fun to watch debated also. We should make our own map and use NEW names. Since there are no official maps showing area nick names. I bet we could get people calling spots anything we want.
Re: does anyone recognize this trail
