Bootleg was a blast today with the first ride back for Pirate Hunter....plus Rowdy, Cableguy, JD, Turbeau, and myself. Couple of get offs for the group...no carnage. Except maybe my flat. But that's Bootleg. Now we're at the Palms with JDs hook up......shelf is stocked.....night of dubachary to follow....

definitely got my eyes opened riding here for the first time. humbling to see what people who know how to ride a bike can do. especially on such steep, loose and ultra rocky terrain.

i fell a couple times, so some new gouges in my bike. Sad new fork seal somehow needed now as well..... and man was it freaking cold there!!!! i had to wear 3 shirts and was still cold.....

i still can't believe i jumped off my bike while clipped in on that part of armagedon and just "ran it out" on the crash.....

my chest mount gopro for some reason was really shaky. i'll be working on the video today but don't expect cinema.

thanks everyone for helping me out and the good times. especially cool to see piratehunter back on the bike going for it!

I had a blast at bootleg! it was the perfect thing to build my confidence from such a long stint away from riding.

Bootleg wasnt what i had thought it would be. i didnt realize that the terrain resembled that of a giant cheese grater. i'm glad i fell when and where i did at only a walking pace. anywhere else on any other part of the trail would have meant some really bad news.

Glad to be back and on my bike. time to get new brakes too. realized i was going down the trail the whole day with only one rear brake pad.....

Thanks for the last minute invite capn'. and i'll be gettin on pay-pal so i can get that moola back to you and rowdy.

After yall left, we ended up eating and gambling a little. Staying at the Palm. Then Mike, Myron, and I hit the club Rain. Myron and I were out on the floor dancing til 2. Good times!

Another great weekend with the pirates!

Bootleg was tits! tacky dirt and bootleg usually don't go together but the rain on fri made for some awesome conditions. We did 5 runs down snakeback, reaper, diva, armageddon, lower ginger, and love canal and only managed to get one flat for 6 riders.

It was fun shredding and partying with y'all. Til' next time...
