Mammoth Sunday 9/4

this drop under the Gondola is Sketchy!!!!
We got tho shred with Ryan E...Mike L.....Badkitty....J. hill....and a few other GP shredders...BIG thinks to Den MOM for telling Dat and I where the good shred was.....Before we ran into her I hated Mammoth...cause we only road a fire road (kamikaze)...YES Kamikaze is "fun"...to go fast on... but its still a god damned fire road and Shock Therapy, which was tech and pretty cool.

I saw that drop from the gondola too, looked pretty crazy, nice job!

Glad Mammoth is starting to come around for you. Hopefully we can hit it or N* before the end of the season.

Drove up after work on Friday. Got into Mammoth around 2am. Woke up early to snag a lift ticket from grenader (Thank you!!!). I didn't take as many pictures while I was up there as I normally do. Busy trying to get in a bunch of runs. Met up with different peeps during our time there. Good to see and/or ride with everyone! Got to take a dip in a natural hot spring. Big thanks to Wendi (MTBGURL) for hooking it up with the planning and condo. Sunday night's "family dinner" was fun and tasty!


A few personal triumphs this year:
Jeremy and I hit one the drop on Techno Rock (w/o the wooden lander, same one in JD's pic above) with encouragement from Jack (Diablito). Of course, there's no decent picture of me doing it because Jeremy is my photographer.

But I did get a sequence of Diablito doing it:

Other personal triumphs that I don't have pictures of ~ hit the step up off the fireroad after Richter (though I cased it) and actually cleared a couple of the tabletops on Twilight Zone (yes, that's big for me). Pretty much hit a lot of the features I'd wanted to hit the last couple years that I never had the nerve to do.

People always ask me how Northstar compares to Mammoth and I just think it doesn't. They're different and have different things to offer.

Yep thats the one. Its alot easiear then it looks and very fun. I cannot wait to hit the bigger ones they are going to put up. Props to all who hit the Techno Roc drop i have not hit it in a while. I think the Run in SUCKS and have seen many get broken on it. I agree with JD its Sketchy! i will have to hit it and the one after as i have not in a while as they both are POORLY setup IMO!! The wooden sender is probably the easiest thing to hit.

man, I should have done those too. We were having way too much fun looping the runs that we didn't bother stopping to assess it. Next time, they will get on this list. Nice RR tara. Going big.

Thanks for showing us around. Mike and I would have wandered the mountain like two idiots without you. Thanks for hooking up the animal shelter as well. We have to do it again. Good times for sure.
