Marrow Components FR stem review

Marrow Components FR stem review
ok so some of you saw the Marrow Components stems at Sea Otter. Well I have had one on my 4X and DJ bikes for a few months now and been giving them hell. Solid moto style clamping, and pretty light for this style of stem at 177g, but its a big stem (very wide and beefy, but not too beefy). They roll formed the bolt holes so you see no hole on the other side and they claim they provide a stronger thread so less chances of stripping the threads, but whats great is you cant get dirt in them. They retail for $89.99 so they are in line with the rest of the high end stems in this particular market...I can find absolutely NOTHING to say negative about these stems.

Re: Marrow Components FR stem review
First look on the pix... kindda ugly Then I stared for a few minutes, and I think it looks nice and simple!
I'll be in the market later on for a stem... first one I have in mind is the Easton Havoc... but Marrow looks more rigid... we'll see...
Thanks for the review

Re: Marrow Components FR stem review
Yeah simple and clean, it is kinda on the big side but I think for its intended purpose its a good thing, its close to the same size as the 26 stem and straight line, kinda. I wish I had those to take pics next to so I could show a comparison. but its light and solid for sure, a great free ride stem. I am working on the DH stem next, and it should be even better from what I have seen, but not sure on their bmx line, those are not near as nice.
