Congrats to Bollucks (Marcus Atkinson)...our new 2015 GPR Team manager! This position carries a lot of thankless hours and hand holding. So thank you for volunteering so much of your personal time! Badkitty will be providing support as an assistant manager. This looks to be a winning combination since the role can be strenuous in short bursts. GP Ride Clinic July 14th
That's right...Mon the 14th. Not a group clinic this time. This one will be taught by me. We'll meet at my house at 8am. 15792 Caminito Cercado San Diego Ca 92128. We'll go over some bike maintenance/setup Q&A. Then we'll carpool to VC park for some skills work on my new bike park. Then we'll go get some DH in. I'll decide which spot works best once I see riding abilities. But I'll do my best to get everyone bloody...but not broken. Clinic officially over at 1pm. But that doesn't mean we will be done riding.

Like everyone else I have my normal work/family life. But I also like to start up these bike project things. Right now VC Park and Waterman are competing for my attention. This Waterman thing is a GP group project. So I'm hoping a few pirates can step in and take a lead. Especially you guys who live up the the L.A. area. I just have too much in SD, and need y'all to take lead so GP Park can open up.

Water is now on site. A 2 inch line on the ski run with tees, and 500'+ of hose. So most of Boneyard is reachable. Compactor is sitting there too. The only thing stopping Boneyard...

805 area jump builders/riders wanted
If you live in SCV, SFV, or Ventura Co. area and have (good) experience building jumps w/ flow, we could use your help. As the bike park in Fillmore nears "dig time", we're going to need some experienced dirt jumpers to ride and dig as we get our jump line aligned for maximum flow. As you probably already know GCI (Gravity Cycling Inc.) Is the non-profit organization created by Cap'n to (legally) deal with and organize the numerous cycling projects that he already had in the works as well as in the future. The public relations arm of Gravity Pirates if you will.

I'm working with Cap'n and GCI on the San Diego area build projects. Currently we're working on 2 projects. The Valley Center City Bike Park as well as a privately funded project.

Howdy y'all! Cap'n told me to post up here, so that is what I am doing. Anyway, my name is Lee, I am 33, married with 2 kids (and another due in May!). I live in San Tan Valley, AZ, and have been riding bikes for long enough, but the last several years mountain biking, (not much good though, lol). Oh, and like Cap'n, I too am a real estate agent!

Cap'n informs me that there are a few GPR team here in AZ, and I'm curious if there are any up & coming events planned (dig, clinic, etc)?

Finishers! Boneyard....done!
Boneyard is almost done in terms of machine work. That means no benching, or big digging. We need raking and tamping. LOTS OF IT! I'm staying up there Wednesday and Thursday...maybe Friday. I need you guys! Doesn't matter if it's midweek or weekend. If u can get up with a friend or 2 and do some finishing, we can be done with our 1st trail! Please have my back on this one guys. It's finally up to US to finish...not waiting on owners or equipment. It's all us now!

Deadline for submission, May 20. And away we go....we have been needing a logo that is compatible with a vector format for years. Our cool looking jpg has it's limitations. Although our skull/shovel will live on forever in some way, it's time for a new official design. There are no real design constraints here. Just has to "feel" like it represents us...whatever...

Dig Report, latest from MW
It looks as though we finally have full commitment from the owners with this excavator. Yesterday was just backhoe Johnny and I. I moved him up where we left off during Boneyard Bash, and we worked our way down. Man...it is UNBELIEVABLY satisfying to watch a ball of roots get ripped out of the ground, after they have been in our way for months. I reworked and altered nearly every part of the trail from there down. Cause obviously design is a little different when machine cut. It really is a partnership between the driver and the builder. And thankfully he's an intelligent dude with driving...
