Troy Lee Designs KG 5450 Knee/ shin guards

I started out using the Race Face Rally/ Roach knee/ shin & elbow fore-arm protection & looked like a Star Wars Storm Trooper.
Then I graduated to the 661 Kyle Straits & was happy with them for the most part except for the total lack of shin protection. One downside was that they don't stay in place that well.
After multiple 'shinjuries' I recently decided to try out the Troy Lee Designs KG 5450 Knee/ shin guards. After breaking them in (getting sweaty) they seem to stay in place better than the Straits & offer 'some' shin protection, however, I'm sure a sniper rock's gonna find its way to the narrow piece of bone between the bottom of the guard & my shoe. It's nice that they don't require any Velcro, but I'm sure the elastic will eventually stretch rendering them useless. I tend to get one and a half seasons out of knee guards, so if they last until next summer I'll be happy with them. They do OK in the heat I guess, time will tell this summer...

I have had mine longer then both of you and they are going strong. I sold perfektus his pair. TLD stuff ROCKS!!

Medium to long term review: After several cycles through the washing machine (cold, dedicates) the top elastic starting to go and won't stay up in cold weather. It seems these are better suited to warm and hot climates. Disappointed in these pads. Switching to Kali.
